Evangelos Pallis
Associate Professor
Dr. Evangelos Pallis is Associate Professor at the Informatics Engineering department of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, and the director of PASIPHAE laboratory. His research interests are in the fields of wireless networks and mobile telecommunication systems, linear and interactive broadcasting, multimedia service provisioning and fixed-mobile converged infrastructures. He has more than 100 refereed publications in international journals conference proceedings, and is member of the IEEE/ComSoc, IEE/IET. He serves in the Editorial Board of the Information Technology Journal and the Research Journal of Information Technology, and holds the general chair of the international conference on Telecommunications and Multimedia (TEMU). Since 2007 acts a distinguished member of the Union of Regional TV Broadcasters of Greece.

Dimitrios Stratakis
Assistant Professor
Dr. Dimitrios Stratakis is Assistant Professor in the Informatics Engineering department of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, and vice-director of PASIPHAE laboratory. His research interests include radiowave propagation, wireless communications systems, non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation measurements, and electromagnetic compatibility. Since then he is one of the main members of Non-Ionizing Radiation research team, dealing with research and measurements of Non-Ionizing Electromagnetic fields at extremely low frequencies and radiofrequencies. He has 20 publications in international journals and conferences in the above areas.

Evangelos Markakis
Senior Research Fellow
Evangelos Markakis was born in Heraklion, Crete in 1980. He holds a PhD from the department of Information & Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean. He has actively participated in no less than 15 EU FP5/FP6/FP7/Horizon2020 funded projects (IST/ICT/Health/ Security) and over 20 Greek funded research and Development projects. Currently He is working as a Senior Research Fellow at PASIPHAE laboratory of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete for the projects FP7/ICT-619520 "T-NOVA"and the HORIZON 2020 DRS-19-2014 “EMYNOS" where He is the Technical Coordinator of the project. His research activities include Interactive Digital Television (DVB), distributed systems and P2P applications, design of large scale Heterogeneous Networks, Fog Computing & Networking, as well as in network management and virtualisation techniques, including SDN/NFV concepts. He is a Member of IEEE ComSoc and the Workshop Co-Chair for the IEEE SDN-NFV Conference.

George Mastorakis
Assistant Professor
Dr. George Mastorakis is Assistant Professor in the field of “New technologies and Marketing” at Technological Educational Institute of Crete and member of PASIPHAE laboratory. His research interests include network/IT resource management, dynamic resource reservation and trading, interactive broadcasting and generation networks. He has actively participated in more than 10 EC-funded R&D projects and a large number of national research ones. He has more than 60 publications at various international conferences proceedings, workshops, scientific journals and book chapters. He is member of IEEE and editor of the Journal of Networks, Information Technology Journal and Journal of Business and Economics. He has more than 30 publications in international journals, conference and workshop proceedings, in the above areas.
